  • This tour leaves the City of Charlottetown, travelling along the south side of the Island, along route #19, to historic Fort Amherst, overlooking the Northumberland Strait and Governor’s Island.  From here we travel along the scenic route of Canoe Cove, Argyle Shore, stopping in the unique scenic fishing village of Victoria By The Sea, where there are many lovely shops, restaurants overlooking the water, with great opportunities for photographs or a taste of hand made chocolates to top off a great lunch or dinner of delicious seafood.  Then on to Borden-Carleton to the world famous Confederation Bridge, where you will see the longest all weather bridge in the world, 12km long.  Quite a sight to see.  There are many great photo opportunities, as well as lots of shops if desired.  You can also explore a small museum which gives the history of the car ferries operating prior to the opening of the bridge in 1997.

We then travel to the City of Summerside, the Town of Kensington, the scenic French River and Stanley Bridge.  Moving on to Cavendish beach on the north side of the Island, home of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s home of Anne of Green Gables.  Leaving Cavendish, we head south once more to New Glasgow, to Island Preserves on the River Clyde, which features a wonderful restaurant, world known Island Preserves, made on site, a gift shop and the peaceful tranquility of the Butterfly House.

A fall tour also offers an opportunity to travel down some typical red dirt roads with a canopy of colorful leaves a dream for photographers and nature lovers.
